2012 Crafting Goals!

2012 Crafting Goals
I decided to set some 2012 crafting goals for myself. Some I have had this past year and just never kept up with. But 2012 is going to be a better year for me, I just know it.

1-Make at least one(1) Mini Album

2-Enter more Challenges

3-Enter at least one(1) Card Swap

4-Use the Pattern Paper(PP) I already have (yea, this one will be hard..so many new stacks I love)

5-Start 2012 Christmas cards early. That's if I decide to make them for 2012 (I bought back up already..hehe)

6-Visit and Leave more comments on the Blogs I am following.

7-Make more Tags. I had fun making the Christmas tag I made for CARDZ TV. Maybe even enter a Tag Swap.

8-Make more Blog Post.

9-Try different styles of card making.

10-Work on changing my Profile Pic. I know a lot of you would love to know what I look like...lol

If I come up with anymore I'll add to my list. If anyone has good Tag Swap blogs please feel free to pass along. Also Challenges, they don't have to involve a giveaway either to be involved.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I hope your New Year is great as well.

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #63

Here is the card I made for Cooking With Cricut #63 Challenge this week. For this challenge the theme was "Sounds of the Season" use your favorite Christmas song for your inspiration. I made a card for CARDZ TV for a Christmas song, but I have so many favorites that I didn't want to join these two challenges. For my song is "Angels We Heard On High" as before in my CARDZ TV challenge this song reminds me of my chance to sing at Disney Worlds Epcot for the Holidays Around the World Candle light processional. I will always have a special place in my heart for this time of year(it has been 13 years now since I had this chance, but I remember it as if it was yesterday). I would do it all over again if I could. A great experience and if the only time you could ever make it to Disney parks go around the Holidays. It's beautiful there this time of year. It's beautiful anytime of year. I love Disney!

I Used/Recipe:
DCWV PP- Linen Closet
Wausau cardstock
Bazzill cardstock
P Schoolbook cart- Heart/Italic Triangle-Angel base 6 1/4" (cut in half) -- Circle 1/4"(angel hands) 1"(angel head)

Cuttlebug folder- D' Vine Swirl

CARDZ TV Challenge # 2

I changed it up for this challenge, instead of my normal card, I made a tag. CARDZ TV Challenge #2 theme was "Crafty Christmas" Make a card, tag, home decor item, mini album, candy or gift container. Any craft project you like for Christmas. I never make tags. I always see some beautiful tags other crafters make with so much detail and would always love to give it a try. When I read the challenge this idea came into my head and I just went with it. I like how it turned out. Maybe a great start off for making new craft items instead of cards all the time.

I Used/Recipe:
Recollections PP- Bright & Jolly stack
Wausau cardstock
Joys of the Season cart- pg.80 Tag 5 1/2" -- Tree 3 1/4" -- Garland 1/2"
Give A Hoot cart- pg.56 Border/Banner 3/4"
Fiskars stamp
CTMH Ink- Holiday Red
SU Dimensionals
White Gel pen- Snow lines on tree and tiny dots thru out the blue PP
Crayola Colored Pencils - filled in dots on PP on tree
Ribbon & Embroidery Floss
Free Hand Snow
*tag base under PP(PP is on both sides) I used part of a Smart One meal box, I have a bunch I cut up a long time ago and just never used them.

CARDZ TV Challenge #97

Here is my card I made for CARDZ TV #97 challenge for this week. The theme of this challenge is "A Caroling We'll Go" make a card based on your favorite Christmas song. I have so many songs that I love, but for the CARDZ TV challenge I chose O Holy Night. I had the pleasure of singing this song and many of my other favorites at Disney Worlds Epcot for the Holidays Around the World Candle light processional . My high school choir was chosen to sing with many other schools. I was so nervous to be in front of that many people, but I would go back an do it over and over again. It was a great experience. Not only do I love O Holy Night, but it has a special place in my heart. (this has been 13 years now since I had this chance) I'll tell you the best time to visit Disney is around the Holidays. It's so beautiful.

I Used/Recipe:
DCWV PP- Linen Closet
Wausau cardstock
Bazzill cardstock
Winter Frolic cart- Baby Jesus 2 1/2"-- Star 2 1/2"--pg.62 Phrase "O Holy Night" 1"

Crayola pencils for Jesus face
Gold Gel pen- faux stitching
1/16" circle punch-for the tiny stars
A2 card

CARDZ TV Challenge #96

Here is the card I made for CARDZ TV #96 Challenge. For this challenge you had to make a Christmas card using an image starting with the letter 'S'. Okay I know we didn't have to use the exact letter 'S' lol, but this idea came to me using the 'S' on my card as well. It could stand for my name Sheena or for Santa. In a way can be a personalized Christmas card. :) Now my stamp on the other hand had me upset, for some reason it it got all blotchy on one side. Not sure how I did everything right that I normally do. Guess I got a little ink happy. Oh well it's still turned out cute :)

I Used/ Recipe:
Recollections PP- Bright & Jolly 2011
Wausau cardstock
P Schoolbook cart- Tall Ball 'S' 4"
Scandinavian Christmas Cards cart- Santa 3 3/4"
Winter Frolic cart - pg.66 Presents 2 1/2"
CTMH Ink- Holiday Red
SU Ink- Black
White Gel pen
Black Sharpie pen
Fiskars stamp
A2 card

Thanks for all the great comments!
