I wanted to make a shape card soon as I saw both these challenges and I wanted to combine them. I however don't have a cart that has the actual toboggan hat, so I used a accessory and I had to make this cut HUGE to get it to even look right and be big enough.  Any certain cart that has items like this and has layers let me know. I got this off Winter Frolic. Yes, it is gonna be super cold this week, in the single digits :-(

I made a Thinking of You card. Here is my Valentine's Day cards for the kids. If you would like to join in IFTL for January head over to Madison's Blog.

I Feel The Love January 2013

This is a very special I Feel The Love. This month we have to make a card/cards for students at Sandy Hook that was in Ms. Victoria Soto class. Victoria lost her life that tragic day saving her students. We will be making these cards for her students that survived. These students should not be forgotten and need all the love and support they can get. The cards need to have hearts on them. In addition to the Valentine's cards we will be collecting cards for Victoria's family, these cards can be Pretty blank cards, Thinking of you, or any appropriate uplifting card that one would send to a family member after a loss. Madison at Funky Cards has more info on where to send them. Madison's BLOG. I will have my card for Victoria's family up tomorrow or tuesday. I made two Valentine's Day cards. I made a card for a Girl and one for a Boy. I know little boys aren't that into pinks, and purples, so I made them a cute dump truck dropping off hearts :-)

Little Beauty Shopping haul

Hi Friends, I wanted to share my little beauty shopping haul. Today I went into Ulta to pick up a few items that I need and want to try.
**This is my picture from Instagram**
1st is Evian Facial Spray- I love this stuff. It feels great on your skin and comes handy on those hot summer days when you need to refresh. I use mine to set my makeup.

2nd is Yes to Cucumber face wipes- I got these to try out. Good thing they had travel size so I didn't have to buy a bigger pack. I hope these work and don't cause breakouts. I have really been into trying and using Organic or all natural products on my face and body. I don't like putting a lot of chemicals on my face. So I hope these work. I know they have great reviews and I know a few beauty guru's who use them and love them.

3rd is Mario Badescu Whitening Mask- You all know by now I love this brand. I wish there was an actual MB Spa here near where I live, but the closest I think is New York City. So I have to go in Ulta to get my supplies or order from MB site. I read reviews that this helps with acne scarring, and to even out skin tone. I really hope it works. I have some acne scars. Nothing major, just ones that I decided to not leave alone. So I will test this out starting tonight.

I picked up a few other things at Sephora, Josie Maran Argan Oil, and Moisturizer. I love Josie Maran products...the Argan oil is a skin saver in the winter for dry skin.  Got a sample of the Origins Plantscription Eye Treatment. It's all natural. It's always good to protect and help the skin around your eyes to keep them young. I need to find an eye treatment that will not burn. I have tried several high end brands that cause burning, but they weren't natural. So we shall see how Origins does. It has great reviews. If you ever want to try something out go to Sephora ask for sample of a product, they will give you enough to test out. This is nice so you don't waste money buying a big product and end up taking it back cause it didn't work. I don't like taking beauty products I spent a lot of $$ on back especially if I could get a sample of that product to try first. So remember the samples are FREE, just ask.Not to be a High End pusher here, I also use drugstore brand products, the Yes To is a drugstore brand. These brands are just what work for me right now.

Hope you enjoyed this little beauty haul. I will be back with my normal card post starting tomorrow WooHoo, I have been working on some challenges and IFTL!

New Year, New Goals!

Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years! I know my family did. With it being a new year I wanted to make some crafting/blogging goals. I know last year I set some goals to make a card at least once a week to keep my blog up to date. I am going for that goal again this year as well. I know I can do it. I started out last year and was doing so well, then I dunno what happened. Well yea I do Life happened. So for my goals this year:
-Make at least one card a week.
-Go and visit more of the blogs I am following.
-Enter more Challenges.
-Step out of my normal card making and try out different projects.
-Really put the effort into making my first Quilt, How many years have I been saying I want to make my first quilt..lol this year it needs to be done.
-Make my Christmas cards early this year, it takes a lot out of you making over 30 cards all at once. I need to break it down and make a little here n there.
-Try out for Design Teams, I always have wanted to try out and be on one. I love the challenge it gives. Plus anything to get me working in my craft area more.
-Keep my craft area clean, neat, and organized. Oh boy this one is hard for me, but I can do it.
-Use more of my scrap paper.
-Try my hand at making card sets, I always get asked by family if I would, now we shall see if they actually want them when made..hehe
So far those are my goals for this year for my crafting life. If I think of anymore I will add them later.

I wish everyone a Happy & Healthy 2013!
