New member of the family!

Hello Friends! Sorry no card to post today, but we got a new addition to our family..a 2 month old kitten. I would post a pic of her, but the little stinker won't hold still long enough for a good one. Anyways that is where my time is spent, playing with her. I would work on cards, but my little craft area is in my bedroom and she isn't allowed in there right now. It gets super cold in there with the door closed, so I kinda don't want to be freezing working on cards. There is a b-day cards I wanted to make, but I had to purchase one. So hopefully while Tilly is sleeping I can work on some V-Day cards for my niece & nephew. If not they will have to get a purchased card. Ugh, I really don't care to purchase cards anymore since I make them..I kinda feel guilty buying cards. But little stinker comes first right now. We are nursing her eye, she has a cold in it, than we discover she had fleas...the lady said she was an indoor kitten, so I guess that lady's house has fleas..we took her to the Vet ASAP and got ointment for her eye an flea stuff. So far everything is great..her eye is looking better and fleas are gone...WHOOP WHOOP!!! She is my little buddy. So if I don't comment as often or post, Tilly is why I don' I miss playing with my cricut, but I hope to soon. I hope everyone is doing well. Talk y'all soon.

Different kind of Baby card

I made this cute little Owl card for my dear friend who will be having a Baby Tea. This will be her second little boy. Instead of doing the normal baby style card with bottles, onesies..etc. I went with the theme she is doing the baby room in. I made this seem kinda like a Quilt in a way, with different pattern paper(PP) and used a cuttlebugg embossing folder to give it some texture. I pieced all the different PP together on cardstock(CS) making that the quilt part. I wanted the Images to be plain with no embossing. Just some faux stitching on the Owl. I like how it turned out and love making backgrounds like this. You can use all kinds of PP. If you notice the blue would be for the sky, orange for sun, and green for tree top(leaves). I think my dear friend will love this card.

I Used/Recipe:
DCWV PP-Flower Shower stack -- Nana's Nursery Baby Boy stack
Recollections PP-Bright & Jolly stack 2011
Bazzill CS
Wausau CS
CAC cart- pg25 Branch 3"-- Owl 2 3/4"
Pooh & Friends cart- Clouds 1" & 1 1/4" (I love this cart for clouds, even though I have other carts with clouds)
Cuttlebug Folder- Houndstooth
White Gel pen
Each PP strip is 1/2" wide
A2 card

Thanks for all the Great comments!!! Sorry I haven't been posting that much. Sometimes you just don't have the mojo to make anything an these past couple weeks has been just been BLAH for me. Hopefully after making this card my crafting mojo is back. :) :)
