Quick Update!!

Hi Everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to stop by real quick and give an update on life and baby.

We haven't got moved yet :( we were suppose to be moved Nov 7th, but the lady in the place had some set backs with her new home being built. So now our expected move date is first week of Dec. Hopefully that works out. If I would have know it take this long to get moved I would have left my Cricut and card making stuff left out to play with. While packing my craft stuff I realized I have way too much stuff I never use and know I will never use. I will be giving that to my niece. She loves to make craft projects for me and DH all the time. So I figured the basics I have she can get a lot of use out of. Also gonna try and be Cricut, Stamping, and card making only when I get my little craft corner set up. When baby comes I want all my craft supplies to be minimal to where I can just make something quick. So that is everyday life update.

I hope we get in to our new place soon so I can at least put my Christmas tree up..that is my favorite.

Baby update. I will be 30 weeks this thursday...woohoo only 10 more weeks. Gender is still a surprise. I had my baby shower last week. It was a fall theme. Since we aren't finding out the gender I decided on the theme of Fall cause it's my favorite time of year, besides Christmas. I also had it early since the holidays are upon us an I knew so many would be busy. My shower turned out well. I am so glad it's over..lol. Baby is measuring on time. I am so excited to meet our little one. I ask for those that pray, to keep me and little one in your prayers. I will try and update after I get moved.

Sorry I haven't been visiting my favorite blogs. I feel bad. I will stop by some today and see what I have been missing. I hope all is well with everyone and that everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

Autumn/Fall Series Card 6

As I mentioned in a previous post this week that this will be my last card for awhile cause I am packing all my stuff up to move at the beginning of November. So for this card I had this idea of a tree and leaves etc. well what else I wanted on the card didn't look right so it is kinda plain. Hi Everyone! UPDATE

Hi Friends! I just wanted to give a little update on me, baby, and our soon to be move to our new place.

I am doing great and so is the little one. Feeling lots of kicks and I love it. Hubby got to see my belly move last night and he felt the baby kick. He was all smiles and thought it was weird and neat at the same time. We are both so excited and can't wait to meet our little bundle of joy. I am 23 weeks, Thursday I will be 24. My next OB visit will be my glucose test..eek! Wish me luck. Also continue to keep me and baby in your prayers.

We decided to not buy right now. We didn't want the burden of buying a place and then say hubby decided to transfer and here we are stuck trying to sell a house. Plus most the houses we have been given to look at just weren't what we wanted. Too much work, bad area(crime), and many other things. So we decided to just rent a 2 bedroom Apt. We live in a 1 bedroom right now. We love the area we live in and loved the fact if we rent we can stay in this area. So our management has been keeping us updated on when a 2 bedroom comes up. So they got us one will be ready in November. I can't wait to work on the baby's nursery I am so excited for that. Also the baby can have their own space. The management knew we are expecting and has found us one that the people are a little older that live in the same part of the building so we don't have to worry about partying so that will be nice...pray it's actually not fibbing just to keep us here...that worries me.

So since we will be moving I have cut my Autumn/Fall Series short. I wanted to make more and make some better cards, but I need to pack things up. Being pregnant is gonna wear me down when packing. I am a pro at packing though cause I have moved a lot in my life so it's not hard, just I'll have to take it slower this time around :) So Thursday card 6 will be my last card and post for a little while. I will try and visit blogs and leave comments. Also when we get moved I won't have internet for a little while, so I won't be on as much. My phone I could get on here, but I like having blogger big and on a computer screen. I am also not sure if I will unpack my card making goodies just yet as we get done moving. I may figure out a better layout for my stuff to where it's neater and start getting rid of things I don't ever use or will never use.  But I promise to stop by and keep y'all updated. Keep me, hubby, and our little one in your thoughts and prayers. Good thing about this move it's only two buildings over. Plus we won't keep our couch and love seat we have now cause it's over 15 years old and it's the old style reclining furniture so it's so dang heavy and a pain, it's not a close to wall kind like they make today so it takes up space. We will just get rid of it and get new that's not so bulky. So that is one big thing we don't have to move. Also we will have some family help move since I can't do any crazy lifting. So pray for us and that our new neighbors aren't a pain..hehe Talk to you all soon.

Autumn/Fall Series Card 3

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. I know I did, the weather here was beautiful Fall weather..My Favorite!! Here is card 3. Now for this card I went way different than my normal card, I never make anything where the top layer has a window cut out and needs to be perfect. I was gonna use my Fiskars tool to make the circle, but I must have it put away in a bin and can't get to it, so I used my Cricut. I also love these leaves from A Child's Year...so pretty and screams Fall. I stamped the background of both the base and the top layer. The base I did a ghost stamp (think that's what it is called, where you stamp once and than use the left over ink) if I am wrong please correct me :)

Autumn/Fall Series Card 2

Hi Everyone!! Here is my second card in the Autumn/Fall Series. This card is a simple card to just send a nice Autumn note to a friend. I did the background stamping. I also love, love the wood letters on Pooh Font, one of my favorites and it goes so well for a Fall theme.

Autumn.Fall Series 2013 Card 1

Hi Everyone!! The other day I had mentioned I would love to do a Autumn/Fall card series. Autumn is my favorite season. I figured why not make some cards that show my love for the season. Most the cards will be using what fall stamps I do have with some cricut cuts. I wanted to use my stamps a little more, they seem so alone not being used..hehe. I will try my hardest to have two post a week Tuesdays and Thursdays. Some cards will be simple, some not so much, also a few where I got ideas from another crafter who I will give credit for the idea when the time comes for that post. Now these cards I will be posting some aren't my normal cute style cards or really colorful. So there will be a few cute ones and lots of Fall colors :) I hope you enjoy my series.

**I trimmed down one of my Studio G stamps to get a couple of the leaves off so I can randomly stamp them on the card and for the tree branch to have some leaves as well.

IFTL September 2013

 

Hi Everyone! I wanted to make a card for this months I Feel The Love. I really love making cards for this Project that Madison has shared with all of us. It's nice to make something knowing that one day it will put a smile on someones face. For this month we were asked to make cards for Hope Ministries. Hope Ministries has been serving the Homeless since 1915. We were asked to make any kind of blank card such as Birthday, Thinking of You, Friendship etc. I made this pretty Birthday card. I love the changing of the leaves, the crisp cool air, the smell of Autumn, pumpkins, and all the yummy goodies like Apple Cider, and Caramel Apples...YUMMY!! So I am working on a Autumn series starting this week. Since Autumn starts tomorrow Sunday 22, 2013 I figured why not have fun and make some cards. So I hope to post two a week. Hi Everyone!

Hi Friends! I just wanted to stop in to say Hey and give a little update as to why I have been MIA. I haven't really been getting in my little craft space to work on anything. I started my Christmas cards last month well in July and they just didn't turn out like I wanted so I say this year I will be buying my Christmas cards :( I know sad. I have made my cards for the past 4 years now. It will be weird buying them. I do however need to get in and work on some cards for a few things. So hopefully I can work on something this sunday while hubby watches NFL RedZone...anyone that has hubby's that watch that channel knows how boring it can be...haha especially when you really aren't into NFL. So I will try and work on something tomorrow.

Also we have been busy house hunting and debating if we want a House or a Condo. With the baby coming we need something bigger, but if we have to stay here in our 1 bedroom Apt for awhile that is fine, I already said I will pack up my crafting stuff until we have room for it, cause we will need room for baby things. If I do pack up my craft stuff I will try and come and visit every week on the blog. I haven't been on as much to visit blogs cause I just haven't got into getting on here. I dunno why I am so bored...lol I should be on here all the time. So if I quit all together making stuff I am either in process of moving or packed my stuff up to make room for baby.

I am 20 weeks and 2 days. I hardly have a belly..lol I am still in my pre-pregnancy jeans, I just can't wear a belt cause it hurts to sit with one on. If anyone knows me I love wearing belts. I feel naked without one. Also my jeans are still loose so it sucks not wearing a belt. I even tried one them belly band things, I'm not ready for that yet. I say next week or so my belly will really pop out. Friends and Family keep telling me that I will one day wake up with a belly...haha I hope so I am so excited :) I am also loving the little flutters and the cute little kicks...I think it's so AWESOME!!! Some people keep telling me when the baby starts really kicking I will hate it...I don't think I will, I am so excited about this pregnancy and the baby, I look forward to all those little things. I have only cravings when I see something..Like the other day there was a Pizza commercial on, well now I want a big greasy pizza haha, and I am a healthy eater. Also Red Lobster endless shrimp commercial was on, and well now I want shrimp. So it comes and goes depending on commercial. All things are going smooth so far. Just exercising and eating right and all that good stuff.

I just wanted to update everyone and so if you were wondering how I have been and the baby. I hope to work on something soon. I hope everyone is doing well. Hugs, Sheena

Hi Everyone!! I entered a Favorite Crafts Exchange over at Hand to Paper. We had to get 5 of one of our favorite craft items to send to 5 other ladies to share are favorites with. I won't say what I sent, but they are something I use pretty much every time I make a card ;-) I made these cute little 3x3 cards to go inside with the craft items. It gives you a hint of what I gave. I hope all the Ladies I sent to like what I sent. It was hard tracking down one of them, places were always sold out.

You can read more about SAFEHOME over at Madison's Blog. I wanted to make 3 cards for SAFEHOME one for a Girl, Boy, and a Mom. Now when it comes to making cards I always have a hard time making cards for Guys or Ladies. I have no problem making cute cards for kids. I wanted the Mom card to still be cute, but say it's for Mom. I hope which ever Mom gets this from a child will love it.

Whoa I am back, and IFTL project card!

Hi everyone I am back..woohoo! I took a few weeks off cause right after I told y'all my exciting news I had a bit of a scare so I did a lot of resting and just took it easy. I know crafting isn't too hard, but how I have my paper stacks and other stuff in my tiny area craft space I have to do a lot of stretching and awkward movements that I just didn't want to do at that time. I will be 15 weeks this week an I have my next Dr visit this week as well. So prayers that the baby is doing well in there :) I am also starting to show a little. I always had a tiny little pooch belly, but now its not disappearing..haha. I am excited. Anyways on to the project I have

Exciting News!!!

Hi Everyone! I am coming to you from my iPad today, i haven't really got on my computer since my last post. I have been busy and some exciting things going on in my life right now. I know my last post I mentioned I have some exciting news for y'all. Well....I am expecting!!! This is our first child and. Hubby and I are so excited, so is our family. We kept it a secret for a long time, but I did tell a few crafting friends :-)  awhile back. We got to see the baby last week and it was so exciting and it finally felt real. The baby is great with a great heartbeat 167.  I wanted to wait and tell family and so did hubby. I will be 12 weeks this week and I am due in Jan.

Everything is going great so far and I continue to pray it will. I had nausea up til 10 weeks, I would get nauseous before I eat or if I ate something that just didn't set well with me. I never threw up thank goodness. I have been feeling great, but I have been tired a lot, so that is why I am mia from blogger and crafting. I try to work on things but I just lose my mojo. I hope to try and at least make something every week. So if you don't see any post from me, that is why. I will try and visit others and leave comments.

So that is my exciting news!!! We are so excited and so is the family. Hubby n I both wanted kids, but we were waiting for the right time. I ask for prayers that my pregnancy goes well, and for a happy and healthy baby.

Hi Everyone and a Challenge

Hi Everyone, I am back..I wanted to take a little break from working on projects. Also I have a lot of exciting things going on in my life right now, so I am kinda busy with that too...will update more later :) So I am gonna try an work on some challenges at least once a week, hoping to get in more than one a week. This week will only be one cause I am super busy and only had time to work on a quick card.

I made this card for Little Scrap Pieces. The theme for the challenge is Stars and Stripes. Ok I knew I wanted my card to be patriotic, but guess what I don't own paper that is even close to patriotic. How I never buy a stack for summer I have no idea, but I really need to. I dug thru my paper stacks to find some blue stripes of the color blue I wanted, and I used the red paper from a Christmas stack. This card is small and I might use it for a Thank You to some family who will be helping out this weekend with our big family fireworks cookout.

**sorry if the lighting is bad...the window where I take my pics to have natural light the people that do the yard work for our Apt complex was working on the tree and bushes right out by that window, So I tried to get a good enough light. Plus I had to take it early cause we have more severe storms rolling in, this will be day 20 of rain and storms, the ground can't take anymore an there has been flooding in areas.**

Hi Everyone! Carri at DoubleClick- AKA Abusybee asked if I wanted to be a Guest Designer in June...and I said YES!!! Hehe I love Carri's blog and all the projects she makes...especially her Skittles that she makes. There are so many colors to choose from. It's nice to add that little extra to a project, especially when you can't think of what it needs. Skittles work great :)
