Get Well card..inspired by Jeannie Phillips

I made this card for a dear friend of mine who just had major surgery. She is doing well, but in a lot of pain. When I seen Jeannie's Thanks for Helping card it gave me a cute idea for a get well card. I did mine a little different. I don't have some of the carts she used, so I used what I had. I did a lot of inking( I never ink) but after this card I really like it. If you have never seen any of Jeannie Phillips cards here is her blog A Place for My Cards. She is now making videos(they are great). I would like to Thank Jeannie for all her great cards she shares with everyone..her work is beautiful.

I Used:
DCWV Flower Shower Spring stacks
Bazzill cardstock
DCWV cardstock
Wausau cardstock
PS cart-grass
DC cart-Sun
P&F cart-Turtle, Flowers, & Butterfly
WC cart-band-aide(it is the get well card size 1/2"-I just cut the card part off) yes very tiny, but I think its cute.. :)
SU Chocolate Chip ink-for inking
Pop Dots

I made the inside like the front, but only did the pattern paper layers. I will write a note in there for my dear friend.
If you notice the butterfly is delivering the turtle a flower..I drew tiny legs on the flower stem to make it seem like it was carrying it..My friend lives 700 miles away and I wanted to make her something to cheer her up :)
I might also go back an make a little tiny bow an put on the turtles head so you know its a girl..lol

Thanks for Looking! Have a Great Day!

  3. Thanks flowerdisco!! I will have to tell her when she gets her card to frame it..lol I say I will be getting a call in the next few days, I just mailed it out today.

Thanks Jeannie for your kind words. Your cards are beautiful works of art. I wanted to give inking a try. I always use colored ink to match the colors in the paper. I really liked using the brown ink this time. I will have to try inking more often :)
