My "Little" Scrap Area

Hello Friends! I wanted to share my "Little" Scrap area with y'all. I love seeing others scrap areas, so I figured I would share what little area I do have. Now my area is in our bedroom, we live in an apartment so space is limited, but it works for me. The lighting is dark(sorry) I only have the Ott Lite and the lamp over by the bed, which is 12 feet away. It's not that dark in person though. I'll explain after each photo each area.

My Desk is from Ikea total for Desk $20..not a bad deal..Ikea has some awesome things. When I get back to an Ikea I'm going to pick up some boxes to store a lot of my already made cards, embossing folders, ink pads etc in. I didn't show the Right or Left side of the area, one side(left) is our dresser with a tv on it and the right side is a tote with all my other craft supplies, Heat Embossing stuff, Bigger stamps, Envies..it was a mess over there, when I get the boxes I'll take all new pics :)

Where I keep my carts that I have no room for under the table, Crock full of Pens, Markers, Cricut Tools, Glue pens..Liquid Pearls, adhesive eraser, Personal Stamp, Rice Krispie treat(SHHHH, it's a secret..lol) Longaberger Basket with CTMH stamp sets, Glue Dots, Cuttlebug folders an supplies, Glue runners, Tape..other little items I have handy. One day when I have my own room, its going to be nothing but Longaberger baskets. I collect them, I have a ton more, just not in my bedroom.

Ott-Lite, CTMH Inks, SU Inks, Studio G Inks, Cricut E(covered in a yellow kitchen towel), My 50cent alligator ruler :), ATG, Card holder(easel), Darice Folders, and Glues

My Cartridge storage, up against my dresser. A VS bag filled with random stamp sets.

Under my table, I store my Cuttlebug, Paper Cutter, Godiva Chocolate bag has my Stamps in it(white bag), Paper Packs, and other scrap items.

You know how you get them kinda heavy duty shopping bags from VS, Godiva Chocolate etc..the ones with the ribbon or rope handles. I use mine to store things like wood stamps, Studio G clear stamps, clear stamp blocks, and Ribbon..they make it nice to just grab the handles..Yea, I know it might not be fancy, but I gotta make do with what I have for storage.

Hope everyone had a Great weekend, it has been really nice the past two days here.

Darice Embossing (picture heavy)

So I wanted to share what 10 Darice Embossing Folders I got. Name of folder is under each picture. I think my favorites out of the 10 are Fleur Di Lis, Scrolls, Heart,Star Border, Tree w/Pinecone, & Swirl. I like the others, but I just like these ones the best. I used Cardstock from Walmart the brand is Georgia-Pacific White carstock 8 1/5" x 11". If anyone wants a close up pic of the embossing let me know which folder you would like to see, if I have enough wanting to see close ups I'll post all the pictures. Have a Great Weekend Everyone!!

May Week 2 "Thank You"

Here is some of the Thank You cards I made to send to some family members. Simple cards!
***Sorry the lighting is bad..very gloomy, cold, and rainy here today.***

I Used:
DCWV pattern paper- Flower Shower Stack
Wausau cardstock
ACY cart- Tag 2 1/4" page 36 in book(pattern paper tag)
Ashlyn's Alphabet-Icon 2" page 64
Darcie Embossing Folder- Fleur Di Lis
CTMH Ink- Green Meadow
CTMH Stamp- For Every Occasion
A2 size card

***Not sure if anyone has seen the blog post about the Darcie brand Embossing Folders?!?! I found out about them from Karen at Karen's Cricut Creations she found hers at Pat Catan's...I found mine at Crafts 2000..My sister and mom picked them up for me since I don't live near one, they do. It was a deal 2 for $5..I got 10 of them..yea that is a lot, but when a deal is like that you can't pass it up..since cuttlebug folders are around $4..Now my review of the Darcie Embossing Folders..I love them..they are A2 size, they emboss very well..you get a deep emboss just like cuttlebug folders..If you live near a Pat Catan's or Crafts 2000 I recommend going an buying them. Next time I am back home I plan to go to Crafts 2000 an look at the others that they have an maybe even get more. If anyone gets them please let me know what you think. I think they work just as great as cuttlebug folders...now I did notice one thing the Darcie folders are smidge longer an skinner than the cuttlebug folders, but they do just as good.(notice the not embossed edge's top/bottom on my card)***My A2 size cards are a 8 1/2" x 11" paper cut in half..than folded. so 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" cards**

Thanks for Looking & all the Great comments! Have a great week everyone!

MPS Challenge #2

Hello Everyone! Today is National Scrapbook Day..so today Robyn over at My Pink Stamper is having Challenges all day. For Challenge #2 you had to use a "Kraft" cardstock on your creation. When I seen what the challenge was, I knew what pattern paper I wanted to use. Having no idea what kind of Cricut cuts I wanted to to use, I opened my Create A Critter handbook, the first page was turned on was the Horse/Star/Horseshoe page..so I knew right then what I was going to make. This simple Howdy card.

I Used:
DCWV pattern paper-got at J's single sheet
Wausau cardstock
Bazzill cardstock
CAC cart- Horseshoe 3 1/4"-Star 2 3/4"-Howdy 2"
SU Ink
SU Dimensionals
Gel Pens
A2 size card
**I don't have any grey cardstock, I must have used it all for other projects so I just went with a tan like cardstock for the horseshoe and did a lot of inking.

Thanks for Looking & all the Great comments!!

May Week 1 "Birthday"

Here is a birthday card I made for my nephew. It's so hard to come up with something for those teenagers especially boys. So I went with simple.

I Used:
DCWV pattern paper( I think, got it at HL)
Wausau cardstock
Cuttlebug folder- Happy Birthday
Potpourri Basket cart-Happy Birthday 2", Hat 2"
White gel pen
A2 size card

I'm really going to try an get around to making some cards this week or weekend. I made this card two weeks ago an just now got to posting it. There has been a lot going on with the horrific storms in the south, having friends & family losing their homes. I made care packages to send down, and I am working on trying to get down to the Tuscaloosa area to help out. I haven't been in a mood to really create anything since all this has happened, but I plan to try and work on some cards soon. Hope everyone is having a great week.

Thanks for all the comments!
